OYSTAR offers “Expert of Solids” qualification

OYSTAR Hüttlin, the internationally leading manufacturer of processing equipment, will be holding this year too a series of seminars designed to provide in-depth process technology know-how. The series will be starting on February 17, 2010 with the two-day seminar entitled “Statistical Design Space Development – From DoE To Granules”.

Companies of the pharmaceutical industry all share one goal: to manufacture flawless products under process conditions that have been optimized to the maximum while keeping costs low and at the same time fulfilling the stringent regulatory quality requirements. This, however, can no longer be achieved without a deep understanding of the process, since only then is it possible to assure continuous quality and cost control at all times.

The Pharma Service at OYSTAR Hüttlin is therefore holding a series of seminars in 2010 in which sound know-how in the area of process technology will be provided and the latest technologies presented. The seminar series is open to all specialists involved with the development and production of solid dosage forms. The series begins on February 17 with the two-day seminar entitled “Statistical Design Space Development – From DoE To Granules” in Schopfheim, Baden-Württemberg. Theoretical knowledge on statistical Design of Experiment (DoE) will be imparted during the seminar and the practical application of DoE in the development and production of granules will be demonstrated and learned. The aim of the seminar is to assist participants in the proficient use of methods that assure quality and reduce costs, such as QbD, Design Space, and Six Sigma.

Three further events in 2010 will complete the series and will cover the areas of cleaning and validation as well as granulation and coating. Participants attending all four seminars will gain the “Expert of Solids” qualification. It is, however, also possible to attend just individual events only. With two additional seminars on the subjects of scale-up and Process Analytical Technology (PAT), attendees can also gain the “Master of Solids” qualification.
